Telephone Recovery Support (TRS) is a DMHAS-funded peer support program operated by Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare (UBHC) that provides free, confidential, and non-judgmental peer support over the phone. TRS is available to New Jersey residents ages 18+ who are in recovery, exploring recovery, or seeking information about recovery resources. What is peer support? Peer support is a powerful approach where individuals with lived experience in recovery provide encouragement, understanding, and guidance to others on their own recovery journey. TRS certified peer specialists offer ongoing check-ins, motivation, and connections to services that promote healing, resilience, and overall wellness. Through shared experience and mutual support, peer specialists create a safe and supportive space where individuals can navigate recovery with hope and empowerment. Stop by to learn how peer support can make a meaningful difference! Call us at 1-833-825-5877. We will also have Narcan available!
